When I was younger I dont think I ever had a trike - I learnt to rude by using my Sister's 2 wheeler bike. It was a bit big for me but I managed.

You are looking at Chinese Crap. You can buy the scooter for $ 1000 and a year later it is broke and is worth $ 0 -- your cost: $ 1000. You can buy a used Japanese or Italian scooter for $ 2000 and a year later it is just as good the same and is still worth $ 2000 -- your cost: $ 0. Not to mention that a vehicle is worthless when it is broke. A Japanese or Italian scooter have parts available and have people who know of to fix them. And one-front-wheel tricycles are less safe than two wheels -- go too fast and they fall over.

Pocket Bikes and Mini Bikes Review

You’ve probably seen one before, probably zipping through your neighborhood. By now, almost everyone has seen a pocket bike. Some people think that it's a toy, and some see it as a real motorcycle, only smaller. The truth is, pocket bikes and super pocket bikes are really machines of a sport that has been sweeping Europe and Japan for over 20 years now.

Americans got their first glimpse of pocket bikes a few years ago. They were brought over here from Italy. However, having the bike cost upwards of thousands, keep the sport in a relatively small community. Even though many found it to be cool and interesting, they were simply unable to afford this type of leisure.

The question now is why do pocket bikes cost so much at the first place? Well, there is one simple answer; It takes a lot of money to design and manufacture a pocket bike. The Italians and Japanese alone spend millions in R and D to perfect the miniaturization of a full size motorcycle, and then there was the testing phase, and the marketing phase. All this drives the company's cost up which was pass down to consumer resulting in pocket bikes that were in the thousand dollar range. Fortunately for us today, advance technologies have bring down the cost and now with prices steady, everyone can enjoy what use to be an elite motorsport.

In the world of pocket bikes, there are two types; the pocket bike category and super pocket bike category. So what is the difference between

them? For starter, a pocket bike is smaller in size and lighter in weight and is usually equipped with a 47cc engine. Most pocket bikes are
use as an entry level bike for those that are interested in motorsport racing. These smaller pocket bikes having less bells-and-whistles
made it simple to use and learn. There are three entry level pocket bikes now being offer to the public, the GP-CAGLLARI, the GP-MX3,
and the GP-RSR.

The lightest pocket bike available on the market currently is the Cagllari Daytona. The Cagllari cost the least among three entry level pocket bike but is one of the more popular models. It weights the lightest at about 40 pounds but because of its lightweight, it can the tackle the 40 mph range fairly easy. With its 5 inch ground clearance the Cagllari is the best for enter and leaving tight corners. With the ability of outperforming much more expensive pocket bikes, it not only offers the best bang for your buck but is also a favorite among pocket bike enthusiasts.

The second entry level pocket bike is the GP-MX3. It is completely different from the cagllari in every aspect and is the start of the bigger pocket bike lineage. The frame of the bike is completely redesigned to make it bigger and stiffer. It is also equipped with full body fairing (head fairing, seat fairing, L & R fairing) like a real size motorcycle do. While the Cagllari is ideal and the best for entering and leaving corners, the GP-MX3 with its bigger and rigid frame is ideal for straight runs or drag races.

Last but not least is the GP-RSR. This mini pocket bike is the next evolution in pocket bikes. It maintain the size and weight of a pocket bike but offer multitude of features found only on super pocket bike and full size motorcycle. The GP-RSR is the top of the line mini pocket bike and is currently the best entry level pocket bike available. It is almost identical to the Gp-mx3 except a few upgrades that are unique only to this model. Unlike the GP-MX, the GP-RSR offers a much more aggressive low profile design. It also offers the best features of both the Cagllari and the MX-3 and none of their weakness. What make the GP-RSR truly amazing is that it is equipped with an adjustable rear suspension that makes this bike not only looks like the real deal but ride like one as well. As a result of the added rear suspension, the RSR have a longer wheel base and is the biggest of the three entry level pocket bike.

If 47cc pocket bike is not appealing enough, then try the second type of pocket bike, the super pocket bikes. The demand for more speed and more option made the super pocket bike possible as the mini pocket bike became more affordable. Super pocket bikes are larger, more comfortable and have many more features that resemble a full size motorcycle. These are more street bikes than they are track bikes because of their size and design. The larger pocket bike is usually equipped with an 110cc motor instead of the 47cc and comes optional with automatic or manual transmission. Riding a super pocket bike is definitely not the same as riding a mini pocket bike since shifting gears are necessary especially in the manual models. Most of these super pocket bikes are even more replicas of full size motorcycle, having headlights, taillights, suspensions, horns, hydraulic brakes, keys and electric starter instead of a pull starter.

Question by rough_neck74: they are trying to stop kids riding dirt bikes..? This was posted on our district site, the letter is from Greg Robinson, Owner of Unadilla... Good Afternoon...forget the good, as our country has descended into lunacy. I have spent most of the day on two conference calls relative to the subject line above, and I must say I am rather concerned about the fate of our sport and industry. Not to mention our local communities for the further loss of jobs and $ $ that our industry brings in each year. It is certainly that dire..believe me. As of yesterday, all the OEMs had to pull for sale all new youth minicycles and atvs for those under the age of 13...this under order of the CPSC due to lead content of plastics and certain metals. As of yesterday, a dealer or private individual can no longer provide parts or service, to these affected machines, in which there is a possibility that those same parts may contain lead...no oil changes, plastic, levers, engine cases, etc, etc..goggles, helmets, clothing, knee braces..you name it. You may think that is just for new machines, but it is for everything new and used. The CPSC also ruled that machines under 85cc are considered toxic to the health of young children. Effective yesterday, Honda has pulled replacement parts from their service system for these machines pending lead certification...this takes 400 days. KTM, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha are doing the same thing. If you have a 1,2,3 year old machine, you won't be able to buy most parts for it very soon. Yamaha is sending out restrictions to its dealers saying that an 85cc bike can only be sold, and should only be operated by someone over the age of 13. Now to the fun part for us as a race promoter. Because the manufacturers are now issuing these guidelines, we as promoters cannot allow a youth under the age of 13 to participate for two reasons. We are allowing someone to participate in a sanctioned activity on a vehicle that has been determined by the manufacturer and the CPSC to be unsafe for that age level. We are allowing someone to participate in a sanctioned activity on a vehicle that the CPSC has determined is a toxic substance. If you think I am joking, consider the following MX Sports is considering removing youth classes from the Loretta Lynn's program, GNCC, and ATV Nationals...we run all three of these series and I can tell you that these classes make up over 1/3 of our entries and more than half of our attendance. The AMA will be forced to ban youths under 13 from any AMA amateur or pro competition due to legal ramifications. The same will apply to local districts and sanctioning bodies, as insurance will not be available to cover this exposure. The lifeblood of our sport are these kids..if they cannot participate, they will find something else to do, and we will not get them back. They will not race, watch, or buy products. That means Mom, Dad and older brothers/sisters won't be there either. Unadilla would most likely not participate in any form of amateur racing..with only half or less of the entries left, it wouldn't be financially possible. DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION YET! There are two efforts going on right now to get a temporary stay granted by the CPSC for "Off Road Vehicles." The MIC (Motorcycle Industry Council) and Missouri State House Rep Mike Sense(#4 in line in the MO st govt) are both developing grass roots letter campaigns through websites to develop a ground swell of support for this stay. Keep in mind this is only temporary, and unless a Federal injunction or legislation is developed, this isn't going away. There are several opinions floating around on this subject saying that our thinking is flawed and that only the sale of new units is affected...if that is the case, why are helmet, goggle, sneakers, sunglasses, OEM parts and accessories, and dealer service being pulled for these units??? I will leave you with this..if indeed this is overblown, and we are right that we shouldn't be affected by this, it still doesn't mean that we can't/won't be sued by someone using this logic, and worse yet, convince a jury that the above is true. If it gets that far, you will have spent nearly a million $ $ in your own defense, just to prove you were right all along. IS IT WORTH THAT TO YOU? I will get you info on the two websites, and I encourage you to beg everyone you know that rides, owns, promotes, or attends an off road sporting event to get everyone they know in the same manner to fill out one of these letters...Every Mom Dad and Kid should individually enter their name. Then they should contact their local representatives too. Thanks for listening, and please do not think you can't make a difference..contact your local representatives as well..explain the economic impact this will have..educate yourself on this subject as quickly as you can. Hello Greg, This is incredibly disturbing, and I thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will do my best to make my voice heard on this issue. The intrusion of a "nanny state" legislature rears its ugly head again. I have been a rider for 40+ years, raced for 30+ years and cannot imagine not seeing the kids on the mini-bikes at all the events.
