Custom Built Motorcycles : Gonzo Guzzi 850 V7 Moto Guzzi Eldorado Old School Cruiser Chopper V-Twin |
offer US $3,750.00
Up for sale is a freshly-built custom Moto Guzzi cruiser; if this one-of-a-kind bike looks familiar, you may have seen it featured in the current issue of Rebel Rodz magazine! It is a truly great running and riding motorcycle, but due to financial constraints, I am forced to put it up for sale. This bike has low miles since the build, and most parts are new or completely refurbished originals. The frame has been converted into a hardtail using thick-wall DOM tubing. TIG welding was done professionally and is very clean. The neck was heat-bent to rake the forks out about 3" and lower the seat position about a foot. The tail end was lengthened about 12" and it accommodates a 6 foot tall rider comfortably. Big police-style kickstand makes it stable when parked. ~~~~ The front forks are completely rebuilt; new fork tubes, new inner bushings, new seals and head bearings. The top triple tree is hand-made and TIG welded with an engine-turned aluminum insert. Handlebars are Harley beachbars with chrome grips; The throttle is a dual-cable unit, with new custom length cables. ~~~~ The wheels are Borrani Record 18"x3", with new Coker Tire 2" wide whitewall Beck 450-18 tires and tubes. The rims were straightened, balanced and trued when the tires were mounted. The brakes are 2-shoe drum units and work fine. ~~~~ The engine is the 850cc Eldorado police model with a 5-speed hand-shift transmission. Although neither the engine nor transmission were rebuilt while I have owned it, I did take the oil pan off during the build and found everything clean and well-oiled; I saw no reason to mess with it. The carburetors are Amal single-throats and have been completely cleaned, internally polished and rebuilt. They connect to a dual element custom air intake/filter. Tested generator and new regulator work well, and the battery is new. New coil with a unique coil bracket and cloth-wrapped ignition wires give it a clean vintage look. New cap, points and tune-up parts have been recently installed. New chrome exhaust headpipes and 30's-style fishtail mufflers have a nice mellow exhaust tone. Transmission shifter was moved to the right side of the fuel tank via a lever system under the tank. It takes a little getting used to if you have a foot-shifting bike, but it's not difficult to learn and shifts easily. The torque tube has been replaced with an open drive shaft; the new arrangement works great and is cool to see spinning while you motor down the road. ~~~~ The seat is a very comfortable reproduction vinyl saddle with a distinctive spring perch on the frame. It has four heavy duty springs and I have never bottomed the seat out. (I have tried, and I weigh 270lbs.) It makes a nice, floating ride considering it's a hardtail. The tank is a modified 3-gallon Harley that was sealed before it ever had gas in it. The gauges are the stock Eldorado speedometer and tachometer set into a Harley lowrider dashboard. The fenders are stock Moto Guzzi, modified slightly to fit the new frame configuration. Paint is a satin maroon and cream (Claret Wine and Almond) and the frame is gloss black. The headlight is a rare auto accessory lens with a halogen bulb conversion in the reflector. The tail light is a stainless-steel Model A Ford housing on the stock Guzzi bracket. With the blue dot lens it sure looks good when you hit the brakes. ~~~~ With all that's been done to this motorcycle, there's still a couple of little things to finish it out; it does need a new speedo cable (although the drive gear has been refurbished) and the tach is not wired up. Both gauges probably should be cleaned and calibrated by a professional. The clutch could probably use a new disk or at least some adjustment, but it runs down the interstate just fine as it is. The generator light is not hooked up, but all the other dash lights (oil pressure, neutral indicator and headlight indicator) work reliably. The differential currently drips a little gear oil from the rear driveshaft splines, but it just needs to be resealed. And like all the Moto Guzzis I have ever seen, it has a few drips of oil from the engine breather now and then. There might be some minor little things a have forgotten, though not intentionally. All in all it's a solid running machine. ~~~~ This cycle is a pleasure to ride; it has a low center of gravity and really crouches into turns. The seat is comfortable enough to ride long distance, and low enough to give you lots of stability at stoplights. It starts reliably (a little tougher to start in winter) and just purrs. If I don't sell it I will probably add some floorboards and ride it up to Sturgis next fall. I have gone all over Denver and into the mountains with very little incident, and when something did go wrong it was always minor. It has a clear Colorado title and is currently licensed and registered. If you have ever wanted a custom cruiser like no one else's, here's your chance; all the hard work is done!

Honda : Shadow 1998 Honda Shadow 1100 Custom Harley Vstar cruiser |
offer US $2,550.00
Candy maroon paint with black flames outlined in orange, the picture really does not do it justice the bike is beautiful. Ø The rear brake light and turn signals have been shaved and replaces with combination LEDs on the side of the rear fender. Ø The air box has been modified and a K&N air filter installed. Ø It has straight drag pipes which have a great sound but I do have baffles you can install to get it through inspection. Ø It has a stage 3 jet kit with modified needles and jets, this bike will really fly. I worked on the jetting until the bike runs great throughout the rpm range. Ø The tires only have about 500 miles on them and the wheels were trued when they were installed. Ø The bike has been services every 2000 miles using Honda lube oil. Ø It has aftermarket cobra running boards and a brake lever and shifter from a Honda Classic cruiser. Ø The mustang seat was installed last year as well as the tail bag. Ø It has a custom tag bracket with LED tag lights.
