Possibly it’s made by some Chinese firm that has never ponied up the dough necessary to have an independent lab test the helmet to see if it meets Department of Transportation requirements.
Because no matter how hard the helmet is it can not prevent brain damage from your brain slapping the inside of your skull. If the helmet was able to absorb the energy from an impact and prevent you brain from moving inside your skull it would have to be huge and everyone would look like bubble heads riding on bikes. The sides would have to be around 12 inches thick on each side and top to provide that much protection and would probably break your neck if you were in a wreck. Hope I have been helpful.
Hated it!!!!!!!ordered a large it was like wearing a carbon fiber diaper!looks good though but not on my head.The insulation inside the helmet looks like it camefrom a box protecting stereos.

got the helmet more than 10 days late ,
after wearing for 1 day the glue that holds the foam lining( NOT SPONGE lining) ,the glue went off and found the helmet 2 parts the lining is a part and the outer part is another part .
the helmet looks good as a decoration in my Garage but not something to use unless u will glue it back all together and for my bad luck i received it the day that i was traveling abroad so i will not be able to return it back , simply i don’t recommend it .

Is your helmet a novelty helmet?
There are two parts to making a helmet to DOT specs — the hard shell and a inner crushable layer that is a inch or so thick.
